WHAT TO EXPECT

Nice to meet you!

You’ll be greeted by name and a smile when you enter our practice and if you’ve completed your admitting paperwork, great! In most cases, we will have already been in touch with you via phone, text or email to confirm your initial appointment and attach those forms.

The purpose of your pre-care consultation is to discuss your health goals and see if you’re a good candidate for our care. A thorough examination will help us identify the likely cause of your problem.

Our patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance. You should allow at least one hour for your first visit.

You are welcome to bring children. We have a play area where they can have fun while they wait their turn. Our staff loves to hold babies too!

Second Visit – Report of Findings

We call the second visit your Report-of-Findings visit and it is scheduled within a day or two of your first visit. During your report of findings, we explain your exam and any x-ray findings, and how we may be able to help you. We’ll make recommendations designed to help you restore and keep your health.

This two-visit approach accomplishes several things:

1. Reduces the length of your first visit
2. Gives us time to correlate our findings
3. Avoids overloading you with too much information

In certain circumstances, we make exceptions depending on your unique situation. But, for the most part, your first adjustment and functional health care will take place after we review the Report of Findings together on your second visit.

A Typical Office Visit

After the investment of time needed on the first and second visit, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length.

In a word: no. A typical visit may require just several, highly-focused minutes and you could be in and out of the office in 20-30 minutes. However, each patient and their case management is highly individualized so a typical visit time does vary.

Rest assured you will receive the exceptional level of care your visit demands, so don’t think the brevity of a regular visit lessens its value! With the groundwork laid, some visits we can quickly assess your health status and spine and nervous system, and chart your progress. Regular visits are where the true healing take place.

But, don’t think the brevity of a regular visit lessens its value! With the groundwork laid, we can quickly size up your spine and nervous system, and assess your progress. Regular visits are where the true healing takes place.

Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the ones before. Miss a visit and we can lose the momentum necessary to make the needed changes.

We recognize your time is valuable. Remember, you are making an investment in your future by following the recommended visit protocol by your doctor for your individual case.
